Beard with glasses: coordinate sideburns and frames

Glasses add a visible line at the temples and upper cheek. Sideburns, a cheek line and haircut sides can therefore appear different than without frames. Include your glasses in the discussion and final check.

Assess with your glasses on

Put on the frames you normally wear when discussing the temple and sideburn transition. The arms can push hair or beard outwards and reveal a shape you do not see without glasses.

View the front and side. This shows how frame, haircut and beard lines meet.

Choose the transition at the temple

Discuss whether the sideburn may sit neatly alongside the glasses arm, disappear behind it or make a softer connection to the beard. There is no required combination; choose what you like in profile.

A fade or taper in the haircut can make the proportion more visible. Explain how short the side will be too.

Test your daily position

At the final check, view your glasses in the position you normally wear them. Do not adjust them only for the mirror; frames may rest differently in daily life.

If you wear several frames, bring the one you use most. It creates the most useful form decision.
